Berberine
On BMI and waist circumference.
According to PubMed, a meta-analysis of 10 trials (Xiong 2020, Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice) shows a decrease in BMI and waist circumference, with no net effect on absolute weight. Nicknamed "natural ozempic," it acts primarily on glucose metabolism.

According to PubMed, a randomized double-blind trial (Cardile 2015, Natural Product Research) observed, with 400 mg/day of extract over 12 weeks, a significant decrease in BMI, weight, waist and hip circumference vs placebo. Encouraging data, to be confirmed in larger trials.
Capsaicin (chili pepper)
Reduces food intake.
According to PubMed, a meta-analysis (Whiting 2013, Appetite) shows that capsaicinoid intake before meals reduces caloric intake by approximately 74 kcal, with a minimum of 2 mg. Effect on appetite, not magical fat burning.
Flaxseed
The best-supported seed.
According to PubMed, a meta-analysis of 45 trials (Mohammadi-Sartang 2017, Obesity Reviews) shows modest weight reduction (approximately -1 kg), BMI, and waist circumference, especially at high doses and in overweight individuals.
Viscous Fibers (psyllium)
Help you eat less.
According to PubMed, a review of studies (Ho 2015, International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition) confirms that viscous fibers reduce appetite and food intake. They swell in the stomach and extend satiety. An indirect but real effect.
Chromium (picolinate)
Effect of questionable relevance.
According to PubMed, a Cochrane review (Tian 2013) notes a very weak effect (approximately -1.1 kg) deemed of questionable clinical relevance, based on low-quality evidence. Primarily studied for blood sugar regulation and sugar cravings.
Konjac (glucomannan)
